CASE HISTORY 5

Shrewsbury, NJ • Summer 2010

This project involved the removal of approximately 1500 tons of contaminated soil from in front of and underneath the house.

Thirty two helical piles encased in 4" schedule 40 steel were installed to a depth of eighteen feet. A whaler was installed as a precautionary measure due to the exposed length of the piles.

Extensive dewatering was required to depress the water table to a level where excavation could continue at a rapid pace.

At the completion of the remediation the utilities were reconnected, the front porch rebuilt and the yard landscaped. The entire project from start to completion took just over three months.
